Bain's 21YO Double Cask

The Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky 21-Year-Old Double Cask Finish started it's life as Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky and spent an additional ten years in older American oak before being transferred to seasoned Amontillado and Manzanilla sherry casks for a final six years’ maturation.

Only three of each sherry cask were selected for the final whisky, which reveals typical sherry influences of nuts, dried fruit, and lingering spice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sticky toffee pudding, Turkish apricots, sultanas, coconut tea biscuits and hints of flower blossom.

Taste: Cinnamon, almonds and hazelnuts with delightful salted caramel and hints
of marmalade.

Finish: Rich, lingering with caramel and spice on the finish.
