Crafting & Maturation

Long before single grain whisky became a new trend around the globe, Andy Watts crafted South Africa's first single grain whisky. Made from sun kissed locally sourced grain, the whisky is uniquely double matured; first aged for three years in first-fill bourbon casks and then for another two years in a fresh set of first-fill bourbon casks allowing maximum extraction of flavours from the oak.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Floral, banana, honey, toasted hazelnuts and toffee aromas unravel with wood, vanilla and spice.

Taste: Vanilla, cocoa butter and light spices from the casks lead to a warm mouthfeel and long, exceptionally smooth finish.

Pairing: Superb with spicy curries, smoked meats, salmon and sweet-chilli cashew nuts.
