Crafting & Maturation

Master distiller Andy Watts distilled malted barley in copper pot stills and matured the spirit over a period of ten years, initially in older American oak and then introducing the whisky to younger second-fill American oak casks. The result is a complex whisky with sweet oak spice and the signature peat of a Three Ships Whisky single malt.

Naturally pale gold in colour, non-chill filtered and bottled at a strength of 46.3%, the whisky is presented in its most natural form. Slight sedimentation may occur in this naturally crafted whisky.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Naturally pale gold.

Nose: Aromas of white pepper, digestive biscuits and gentle caramel unravel on the nose.

Palate: Rich vanilla and toffee notes coat the palate with tropical fruit, spice and a lingering smokiness in the background.

Finish: A long finish of sweet oak, spicy nuttiness and warm peat.
