Three Ships Whisky 6-Year Chenin Blanc Cask Finish

In yet another first for South Africa, Three Ships Whisky has created an unconventional and unique masterpiece that signifies the innovation of the whiskies produced at The James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington.

An exceptional cask finish revealing spice, tropical fruit and zesty lemon from the seasoned Chenin Blanc casks. The warm South African climate softens and smoothens the whisky during maturation, resulting in an extraordinarily gentle but complex whisky.

Crafting & Maturation

Our Master Distiller, Andy Watts, column distilled malted barley during the winter of 2016 creating a lighter style of the usually complex malt whisky. The spirit was matured for four years in American Oak of varying ages before being finished in seasoned Chenin Blanc casks for two years.

Bright and flavourful, the whisky is naturally pale gold in colour, un-chillfiltered and presented in its purest form.
